Cold, Windy and Heading Down: A Bivvy Attempt Cut Short

It was only April, but a huge off-season snow dump had turned the mountain into a winter wonderland a few days before my planned trip. My partner had a rock-climbing course to attend in Whakapapa, and I joined the trip, excited to have my first overnight solo wild camping experience at the top of Ruapehu. ORSON RANGER 1 - LIGHTWEIGHT 1 PERSON BACKPACKING TENT

First time I ever set up the tent with no instructions. It was straight forward and took less than 15 mins and packing up was just as easy. Fantastic product!

INDIE 1 - ULTRALIGHT SILNYLON 1 PERSON HIKING TENT

I really like this tent. I've used it on a couple of bike packing adventures and love how lightweight it is for the quality of it and space it provides. My favorite things are that I can sit up in it to make my morning coffee and the double door vestibule. I've used in on a windy rainy night and stayed super dry.

ORSON TRACKER 2 - RIPSTOP SILNYLON 2 PERSON CAMPING TENT

Took our tent up the Pinnacles and it was brilliant - was light and compact in my pack, easy to put up and great for my 10yr old and I to share overnight. I also bought the groundsheet for added protection against ground moisture.

ORSON HOPPER PRO 2 - RIPSTOP SILNYLON 2 PERSON HIKING TENT

Love the tent! Has spent many a night on the tops in Canterbury and West Coast heavy NW winds/rain and snow! Love the quality and the minimal weight/space it takes up in a pack. Will be buying a single man tent as well for solo missions.
